• The Contactology Forum will be the main new feature at Expoóptica 2010, an exclusive section within the fair itself that encompasses all of the leading companies within this field.
• The trade exhibition will be complemented by the Twenty-First International Optometry, Contactology and Ophthalmic Optics Congress, and, for the third consecutive year, by the Business Forum.
The International Optics & Optometry Exhibition has confirmed the participation of nearly one hundred exhibiting companies that will occupy some 5,000 square metres of exhibition space. The fair will welcome leading companies within the sector such as Indo, Essilor, Hoya Lens, Briot Weco, Prats, Topcon, Maui Jim, Grupo +Visión, Coopervision, Johnson& Jonson, Multiópticas or Cione.
EXPOÓPTICA 2010 will thus strengthen its role as a key point of reference for the optics and optometry industry on the Iberian Peninsula. This special role played by this fair, which is backed by the leading associations and bodies within the industry (the Spanish Federation of Optics Industry Associations (Fedao), the National College of Opticians and Optometrists (CNOO) and the Spanish Association for the Manufacture, Marketing and Import of Optics and Ophthalmological Products (AEO), has not gone unnoticed by the exhibiting companies who, at this new edition, will once again place their trust in the commercial projection offered by the International Optics and Optometry Exhibition.
. The Contact Lens Sector will Present an Exclusive Area at the Fair
One of the main new features at this edition of EXPOÓPTICA will consist of the presentation of the Contactology Forum, an exclusive section organised within the framework of the fair which will encompass all of the leading operators within this field, such as CooperVision, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Amo-Abbot, Lapis Lazuli, Lenticon, Precilens, Interlenco, Avizor, Conoptica, Disop, Eurolent, Eurolent Tiedra, Mark'Ennovy and Menicon.
This special section at the fair will be complemented by a cycle of conferences to be imparted by representatives of these companies in Spain, professionals who will tackle some of the main challenges facing the sector today.
With the creation of the Contactology Forum, EXPOÓPTICA 2010 strengthens its trade exhibition for professionals, offering its trade visitors a more comprehensive overview of the world of optics and optometry. Contactology is a field that features ongoing development and that brings together many of the main scientific advances that have been achieved in recent years.
. Trade Meetings: A Key Point of Reference within the World of Optics
In view of the success achieved at previous editions, EXPOÓPTICA 2010 will once again grant a leading role to its Business Forum, an initiative organised by the Spanish Federation of Optics Industry Associations (FEDAO) that seeks to promote the business and commercial training of opticians and optometrists.
As at previous editions, the trade exhibition will coincide with the staging of the twenty-first edition of the International Optometry, Contactology and Ophthalmic Optics Congress. The National College of Opticians and Optometrists will, thus, bring together a number of prestigious experts within the field, who will tackle some of the questions of greatest interest to professionals working within the sector.
. Audiology: A Business Area Represented at the Fair.
Although onlookers might believe a priori that EXPOÓPTICA 2010 focuses solely on the optics industry, many of the exhibitors attending the fair will take advantage of this trade showcase in order to present their latest advances under the heading of audiology, an area that perfectly complements their habitual business activities. In this respect, a number of participating companies will present the latest technological developments within a sector that is enjoying healthy growth within the optics industry as a whole.
